The Histopathological Study on the Influence of Overstimulations at Different Sites to Several Distant Organs

Abstract
Through the serial studies done in this department, we have confirmed that histopathological changes in distant organs could be occurred by overstimulation on nasal septum.
Authors carried out this experiment - for sustaining whether such histopathological changes in distant organs are specific for certain injection site and to find what organs show the most significant changes.
As stimulator, we used croton oil which is a strong stimulator and difficult in absorption, and had overstimulated several areas such as the nasal concha, nasopharynx, soft palate, external auditory meatus and a¢¥hdominal wall of white rabbits (2.2-2.5kg).
They were sacrificed at one hour after each stimulation, and taken specimens from liver, lung, stomach, adrenal gland and parotid gland.
The results are as follows:
1) Remarkable .histopathological changes in distant organs were observed in groups injected on nasopharynx, concha and soft palate respectively, but on external auditory meatus and abdomen changes were not remarkable.
2) Liver, lung and parotid gland showed remarkable histopathological changes among the distant-organs. The adrenal gland and stomach did not show significant changes in all groups.
3) In liver and lung, histopathological changes were more remarkable in group injected on nasopharynx than the other groups, and in parotid gland histopkhological changes were more remarkable In gre" injected on nasal -concha than other groups.
